"...Bombbuilder play a very agitated style of 80s Japanese
HC filtered through isolationist U.S. die hard hardcore fighter ears. They cover both Terveet Kadet and Systematic Death,
just so that they know that you know that they know what's up. The lineup can play six degrees of separation with almost every
important OH hardcore band of the late 90s, including 9 Shocks Terror, Hangnail, Sloth, Schnauzer, Gordon Solie Motherf_ckers,
Nut Screamer, 20,000 Leagues Below My Nutsac, Boulder, and the list goes on. The record was put out by some very sketchy drug
addicts from Barstow, so it's very unlikely that this will be around for long. Limited pressing of 500....". Wedge found a
Bombbuilder 7" on Ebay and that was the desciption, the first time I read it I laughed out loud, twice, and that's generally
reserved for kids falling off their bikes. I can't say that this is entirely accurate, but it sure beats the crap out of the
bio I wrote...
Formed in October 2001, Bombbuilder came to be from
the ashes of Gordon Solie Motherf_ckers. After playing bass in H-100's and 9 Shocks Terror, Tony Erba had a jones to get back
into vocals (he was the vocalist of Face Value in the 80's), but in true psychotic Erba fashion, after only a few years of
doing G.S.M.F., he had had enough. Towards the last few months of G.S.M.F. Tony had gone as far as to verbalize to me that
I should be the vocalist in G.S.M.F.. So when Wedge called me after the break-up and related to me that the remaining members
of G.S.M.F. still wanted to play and that they would like me to be the vocalist, I said "@!#$**%!! YEAH". Shawn (Junky
f-er), previous to G.S.M.F., was in the infamous Puncture Wound. The original bassist of G.S.M.F. left for California
(Jimmy was in Dirtbag, does vox in Annihilation Time and is currently playing bass in The Crunky Kids), Sharkey (fresh in
town from Philadelphia, PA) was recruited. I wanted to call the band something like G.S.M.F. A.D., but we unanimously
decided on Bombbuilder, named after an old Hangnail song "Building Bombs", Shawn's idea not mine. So here we are. I hope you'll
keep an eye out for our upcoming releases and gigs. Enjoy much noise, Thuggy Bearbomb
